Trio bio below
Mixing old world melodies with modern beats and sounds, this world traveling one man band brings harmonica, guitar and foot percussion into a new dimension. Music explores Celtic, Reggae, Balkan, Quebecois and other styles, all surrounded by improvised shenanigans sure to make any dancer happy.
TRIO BIO
We are a dance band equally at home in a folkclub or nightclub.
We have Rhys Crimmin on didgeridoo running through a pedalboard, Mana Okubo of John John Festival fame on fiddle, and myself Tim Scanlan on one-man band duties - Quebecois foot percussion in between bass drum and hi-hats, guitar, voice and harmonica. Lots of effects pedals.
A message we received after playing the Star of the West pub, Sunday night during the Port Fairy folk fest this year - "I have to say that you and your band were the most organic, magical trio I have ever heard.

Ancient tunes flying over the didgeridoo drone, gets the tingles in the body going!

Port Fairy was where we started as a trio, and since then we've played all over Ireland, Scotland, Germany, and Japan...where we recorded an album called "Live in Tokyo".
